While walking around town scrounging for stuff in curbside discards, I found a current model Whirlpool gas dryer, so I took it apart to get at a folded up schematic inside.
After studying it, I thought of using the Super Unimatic progam
to operate a basic model gas dryer. The relay/PC interface that Unimatic1140 used could be connected to 120 volt relays having 120 volt coils (relay contacts of the board mounted relays operating the 120 volt coils of the 120 volt relays) Only seven of the eight relays would be used, relays 1-5 in place of the timer, relay 6 in place of the start switch, relay 7 wired in series with the door switch.
