yeah, well, don't hold your breath

I hate to say it folks, but the trend is up, up and...up. It is a terrible thing that the US has made itself dependent upon its enemies for the lifeblood of oil.
We have, too, so I am not lecturing here. Of course, we also kept up and expanded our mass-transit infra-structure.
The last time I had to take a public bus in the US, I thought I was on a bus with the worst of the criminals and unlucky people in the whole county. Here in Germany you find managers with million dollar incomes, politicians, dentists, lawyers...everyone on the subway, in the trams, on a bus...
It's time to take a good hard look at just what, exactly, freedom is. I don't think it is making yourself dependent upon a culture and a religion which hates women, gays, dogs and everything free and democratic...

The oil companies want you to think gas is going down and become complacent with higher prices: they raise the prices for awhile and when they drop a few cents and everyone relaxes. The problem is, they don't drop as far down as they were before. Remember when gas was $1.30 (in Texas) three years ago? Now we are getting happy when prices drop below $2.80. I won't be happy until they drop back under $1.80, which will never happen.

We need to upgrade our mass transit systems and alternative fuels and lose our dependance on foriegn oil. They are selling gas in Kuwait for about 50-70 cents a gallon, and last fall Chavez set Venezuela's gas at 10 cents a gallon, at least for awhile - don't know what it is now.

When I was in Germany in 1991, I used the trains a lot - clean and easy and inexpensive. Taxis too. Gas in Germany was $7 a gallon then.

Today was my most expensive tank yet.

I was getting pretty low, and the $3.299 gas filled my tank for $54.50

those 3.17 prices old

was $260 a gallon here in Indiana last week ,thats $31.00 to fill a Chevy S-10& my buddy filled his Dodge Dakota cost $60.00 my idea of a old fork lift motor & some golf cart batteries to replace the gas engine in my S-10 sounds really good these days!!!!

Like an idiot, I let my Suburban's tank get low. I try to put gas in when it gets to a half tank. I rarely drive it, only on road trips. I usually drive/ride with my bro. in our box truck every day. Well, we're heading out for the weekend. I have a 42 gallon tank, & I had to put in 35 gallons. $106!!!!!!!!!!!! F%$#*#ing ouch!!!! That's my record.

Mines a whimpy $45.00 amd thats when i had a Ford Explorer (which i don't care if gas is $7 a gallon i will have me another one along with my corolla of course)

Gas is right around 2.95 here in the sunny state of Arizona. I filled my 1974 Ford Gran Torino up the other day. It was on empty. I put in $75.00. UGGGGG. I drive 50 miles to work each way. Sigh. Well at least I'm driving in style. LOL
