These are identical to the original brass based bulbs that would've been found in the older Maytag control panels. If you're obsessed with details like I am then a box of these will not only satisfy your need for authenticity, but last you the rest of your life. I just picked a box up for myself. There are eight left if anyone's interested.

Awesome!  I just did the same.  Interestingly, our local Home Depot and Lowe's do not carry these.  I lucked out and found them at Auto Zone, but one already blew after 4 months.  I imagine these new old stock bulbs will last a wee bit longer...

That's very true Tom,

But I made this post primarily for folks like me that are obsessed with originality. For example, both of the brass based bulbs in the photo below were found installed in my old Maytag's. The bulb with the silver colored base is what I was able to find as a replacement for the dial light. Per my crazy obsessive compulsive standards, the new bulb works, but it's wrong. The base is made of the wrong material, it has a flare at the top edge just below the glass that shouldn't be there, and the glass bulb isn't quite the right shape. Not so with the NOS bulbs seen in the link above. They're identical to the original bulbs in every way. So if nothing else, at least now you understand the severity of my particular disorder.

Why thank you Sandy. I figured I'd find some support among those that are similarly afflicted.

And for anyone that's interested, the part number for the tub light bulb in the photo above is 15T7DC. These are still readily available under this part number, but if you want the authentic time machine experience you'll need to look around a bit, as many of the new ones suffer from the same problems as the other new bulb.
