Ok I nearly fainted today when I saw a 120 volt dual fuel range.

Usually top burners use gas, and the oven and broiler use 220v elements.

Picture this, take a regular 30-inch-wide free-standing GAS self-cleaning stove. Add an electric bake element. remove the gas broiler tudbe (wasit-high in the main oven cavity; replace with an electric element.)

The oven uses gas to get to temperature quickly; then swithes over to electric to maintain it. I am assuming the self-clean *Pyrolitic* cycle uses gas to get the high tmerpeatures needed.

I eoudl guess this is all accomplised by a two-stage "thermosts" or actually an electronic thermister.

I wonder if the gas burner fires up immediately when the oven door is opened (to couteract quick heat loss), or if the temp drop below a certain number of degrees of the desired temp. setting does it.

A Frigidaire self-cleaner in gas, with sealed burners can be had for $340 in this area, This toy is that PLUS $1,000.
Still a very wise use of the electronic computer/brain and

Broil Pre-heat

Since when do you pre-heat a broiler?
(Page 20)

Again, sounds like the 110v broiler can't really keep up.
I'm thinking the gas oven (bake) burner works with the electric broiler.

Wouldn't that be broasting?

What brand of garbage disposal do you have, and do you like it?

To me they are all the same (ducks and runs).

Mine were on sale at SEARS, the boxes had gotten wet and were ugly. [Since when does a ugly box scare me? always, RUN!]I bought six at 75% off the regular price.

Then, when the women in my life saw what I have and were envious (this happens frequently) I whipped out my........disposers and gifted them as I said Merry Christmas...........in July.

Anyhoo- IIMHO try to get one that is continuous-feed and one that has the most stainless steel and least plastic and coated metals (galvanized, etc.)
