How was sealing accomplished along the center of the fridge doors? On modern french door refrigerators theres a hinged strip on one door that the gasket on the second door seals against. I dont see anything like that on the GE.
P.S. I worked with someone years back that bought a house which included all the appliances. A few years later she mentioned the fridge quit and needed to get a new one. She described the style of the old fridge and how much she loved the design. And that she would have liked to have it repaired rather than replace it. At that time I couldnt quite picture what she was describing. Now I know it was an Americana of this vintage. If I had been appliance savvy then I would have gotten it rather than it be scrapped.
