Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I don't think I've seen one with that type of clock arrangement before. It may be an accessory that had to be purchased separately. I've seen this style range with the wide spread units before, but most didn't have a light. It looks like a decent range, but I'd think they would have bothered to make sure the burners were seated properly before taking the photo.

Also, link is incorrect.

This is the Senator Larry "Wide Stance" Craig model. It was offered with that huge clock which was appended to several GE range models in the mid to late 50s. This style of range was offered in both 30" and 40" sizes with the rectangular copper-framed clock between the oven dials in the backsplash.

That clock must have been a swing-into-place thing or something the installer would attach upon delivery. Otherwise, the box and crate would need to be 8" taller just for an awkward, easily snapped off accent.
That's not good logistics planning.

While this thing is probably heavy, I doubt it's as bad as moving a porcelain double wide frig from this same era, or some stainless steel commercial stove of the same width today.
