GE Black Double Oven - $100

Pics are unfortunately not clear - not pristine looking, but isn't this a late 60's model?

late 60's model???

i'm taking a guess here & would say it's probably an 80's model? but i'm not an expert about GE ovens. but to me, it looks like 80's because of the digital clock that it has.

i wonder who knows.....

I'll concur with you

Mid-late 80's. We had a 1969 GE P7 oven that was the equivalent model to this. Analog clock, porcelain doors w/clear glass windows. Not only was digital big in the 80's, but black doors also were popular in the later 80's.

If the quality was the same as it was in the 1969, then this will be a great oven to have.

Fortunately, this model has analog controls with the deluxe dials. Either the TOL model or one a year or two newer had integrated clock & oven function/thermostat controls. GE did not have enough spares made and when one of these died, usually on the most frequently used upper oven, the only thing that could be done was to switch out the control for the lower oven, leaving that cavity useless except as storage or, with the light on, as a dough proofing chamber.

Not a common occurrence, hopefully? Irritating, if it happened out of warranty.
