not...

a Frigidaire stove as far as I can tell, besides design elements, in my recollection FD had a darker/richer Coppertone color, unless it's due to photography here. Has anyone noticed that there seemed to have been quite a variation among manufacturers when it comes to Coppertone, perhaps more so than in some other past colors?

The refrigerator is a Kenmore made by Whirlpool, the range is also a Kenmore made by Roper. The ad states Sears Kenmore towards the bottom. The dishwasher is GE, of course.

Some manufacturers altered the shades of their colors over time. For example, Frigidaire originally called their brown "Aztec Copper", which was lighter and more orange than their later "Colonial Copper". Whirlpool/Kenmore always had a lighter, slightly pink toned "Coppertone", until the late 70's when it became the much darker, unshaded "Coffee". Hotpoint also changed their "Coral Pink" to match GE's "Petal Pink", and their "Sunburst Yellow" to match GE "Canary Yellow" around 1960. Other manufacturers such as Maytag and Westinghouse also did this.

Colonial Copper...

I think was the darker shaded version on our FD '74 17 cu ft top freezer fridge.
The 30" drop-in GE range we bought the same year matched it well, and was also a somewhat darker shade than some I've seen.
