Can anyone zero-in on the model-year and serial production-date?

Appliance411 decoder advises production choice of 1995, 2007, or 2019 (or 1983 which is non-workable per the age of the house being 1994).  Nephew thinks it's new being that there were papers or stickers inside (and it is clean other than smudges on the SS front).  GE says discontinued but Home Depot apparently has it available.  Wondering if it could be 2019, or was in the house for some years unused by the previous owner.

I'd say either 2007 or 2019, but any other dishwasher ever made will clean circles around it. We had two of the early 2000's equivalent (one original to the house built in 1999-2000 and the other which appeared to be a few years newer) both required the dishes to be rinsed clean, preferably with soap, before loading, or else any food particles that remained would be ground up and splattered all over the dishes- both lacked any kind of filtration system. I've used one of the newer much hated Frigidaire machines (the ones that was one rack at a time with a pond pump) and it cleaned circles around the old GE's.

So it's one of those.  Kinda suspected from the interior design.

Tried to advise niecey about glassware etching, she wouldn't hear it.

Their water is very hot, didn't have a thermometer to check.

Perhaps they should use it as a rinser/dryer.

Newer Basic Standard Tub GE DW

These have a food grinder and a filter system and work very well, their major limitation is the silly tower in the middle that does not reach the corners of the top rack.

If this DW is operated with at least 120F incoming water and excellent detergent pods with a little regular DW detergent in the pre-wash cup these tings clean well, just don't overload such that water can not get to all the dishes.

These DWs are fairly durable if treated well and do not develop the stink that higher end DW with removable filters often do.

As to the nice by marriage I don't know what you can do with someone that is so obsessed that they wash their dishes before washing them, they are actually spreading more germs around the kitchen the way they are doing it to say nothing of the environmental harm they are doing wasting all that water and energy, she just needs to get over herself, your poor nephew he is probably never going to get any really fun sex out of her, LOL

Combo, John, what ever you want to be called without getting triggered. Why are you so angry at the world? What does a woman prewashing dishes because her old dishwasher probably lacked a filter have to do with what type of lover she is? The two have nothing to do with one another.

@Dustin: This machine is significantly improved over the early 2000s machines which lacked any real filter and had a spring clip macerater which frequently broke off. Not to mention a rinse aid dispenser that leaked. This machine has all the flaws worked out and filtration is better than many manual clean filter machines.

And there it is

Your constant need to disparage others.

I deiced not to say anything in this thread after reply #56:

However unless people voice up your behavior will never change. It has driven away other members and makes a miserable experience for the rest of us. You may flaunt your name and such, but just a few mouse clicks only confirms what I already know.

Well, in Johns defense;

online reviews are opinions, like a butt, we all have them. I personally know someone whom has seen John working on a machine, and as our father was also an excellent appliance tech., I think we'd know one when we met one.
You can please most people some of the time, a few more so, and no one all of the time, regardless of how estute, intelligent, or honest you are. A good liar may do even better. Zzzzz!
Ex: Whats that address again, 55th, 56th., or 57th. street and Fifth or Park avenue?

Anyway ... the young woman of question is very capable.  Her dad is a maintenance manager for an industrial/manufacturing facility of a major electronics company and taught his daughters well.  She once had a situation in which her car wouldn't start while at a client location.  She walked up the road to an auto supply, bought a battery, walked back with it and changed it with tools she carries in her car.

I've changed a car battery as well

in sub zero weather in the parking lot at my work once. No biggy, but most kids today can't change a flat tire nor care to learn how.
I've also rebuilt the fan assembly motor for a Ford Vulcan V6 on my kitchen floor back in the early 90's when I had no garage to work in. Young people these days aren't all that resourceful, and many have had it too easy. Spoon fed, so to speak, but again, I digress. No apploogy for being off topic either. As John stated above, we Know of no identity of the critical poster, and they could be anyone at all. On the w.w. web, one can be whatever they choose to be and decieve others in doing so.
Some others are critical also of former leadership as having done nothing to warrant their positions. More most recent have been spoon fed, and an opportunist of the system in large part. We the people have had to eat the losses of suhch people in inflation, and their greed, as well as losses of our liveliehood and jobs.
Abraham Lincoln was a self educated lawyer. Modern leaders, candidates, and voters should eductate them selves by reading material on not only Lincoln, but also FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, MLK, etc., etc. before criticizing thier policies as anti democratic or anti republic. We the USA are both in fact, not just called a democratic republic as East Germany, etc. were. The same goes for business leaders like one of my Mentors, Lee Iacocca. I've read his books, and modeled my management skills from his. He predicted, as others as well, that we'd not be leaving our kids the estate, but rather the mortgages. One of my sayings is "mobody cares" about the average working class stiff today. Not our govt., not companies, and I'm disgusted of hearing excuses like small business runs the economy today, not big. B.S! If us average folks made more, we'd pay more in taxes, then the wealthy who get the largest tax cuts could shoulder more tax burdeon as a bady, then they wouldn't need be taxed so much. This is why our infrastructures are declinining, because we no longer pay the most as a group.
The last recession cause massive tax revenue defecits. Many earn half their previous incomes, many whom are now seniors who have decades paid into social security, and medicare. Oh yes, and I tell congress also! More of us need to.
