So about what vintage is this? Is it worth getting? The toggle switches lead me to believe it's older...

Yes. It still has the mini-basket too. It's basically the same feature set as the other GE washer Akronman got a couple of weeks ago in Ohio??? The bands on the timer dial are just alll monochromatic instead of various colors.

It looks extremely similar to my 1977, but the one you're looking at also has the Extra Rinse feature, cool.
Mine is a workhorse, excellent machine, turnover is great, plentiful clear rinses, I relatively easily got the clutch actuator going again for both speeds, I'm very impressed with my Filter Flo.
If you don't yet have one in your collection, and your budget allows, go for it.

I would grab it also, very nice machine......price seems a little high, but if they guarantee it, all the better, also check for a matching dryer.....matching sets are getting a little hard to find.......

A good solid model from the very late eighties. Has extra-large capacity, white spiral ramped activator, mini-basket, bleach funnel, separate controls for wash and rinse temps, extra rinse and 4 usable cycles. Very easy to find fabric softener dispensers for these if it doesn't come with one. If I'm looking at the picture correctly, these were offered in some of the independent stores as popular oddballs; monochromatic backsplash graphics. There was a matching dryer.
There's one exactly like it sitting, unused in the basement janitor's closet where I work. I've used it occasionally for washing rags and side-towels when the owner isn't looking, which is more and more these days. Not a spectacular washer like a Norge or a great extractor like a GM Frigidaire , but if you want to wash and rinse in lots and lots of water, with lint-free results, here's your machine. Also, by the late eighties GE figured out how to make these quieter.

This Filter-Flo is actually more like 78-81, it has the control panel of that era with the monochrome white print and toggle switches with more angular console top. I don't believe it's an 82-85 because the type font is different and there is no woodgrain facing on it around the sections. Also it still has the more squared off control panel. A later machine (86-91) of this model would have the brushed aluminum topped, shorter console with orange, red and silver print/trim along with chrome speed buttons to the left. Also the "General Electric" brand would be on the right side of the control panel along the top with "Extra Large Capacity" to the left along the top. As to the Activator that it used, I THINK it would be a straight-4, but COULD be a ramp, it would be close to that age where it could be either or.

Planning to check it out this weekend...haven't had time to swing by there yet. I agree, it appears to be at least 70s vintage; if I pick it up hopefully a matching dryer will be easy to find since I really like to collect "twins."
