I would like to go after this set. Is anyone close by that could pick them up? I would greatly appreciate it if so. It would probably be within 2 weeks that I could have a shipper over there.

That's the exact set my parents bought new when they built their home in 1985. Yes it was TOL for the time.
It has the spotwasher feature which is nothing more than an electric valve on the filter flow hose that shuts off the flow of water into the mini basket after it gets full of water so the soap stays concentrated when it washes. It will make a large "KAAA-LUNK" sound when the valve slams shut about 45 seconds after it starts agitating.
The dryer is super capacity which means the extra deep drum sticks out the back about 4". The electronic sensors in their dryer didn't last very long.

I've seen a couple of these sensors on the older models and it looks like they used a membrane type sensor rather than the metal bars like Maytag and Whirlpool/Kenmore did. Did the membranes just wear out from friction and stop functioning?

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to convince the seller to let me buy the machines. I know it’s an odd request to most people and it’s getting harder to be able to get machines when they are in another state due to the scams these days. This particular machine apparently needs a clutch and will probably be in the dump within a year. A sad end to a nice top of the line machine. As others say you can’t save them all but I try. Lol
