I saw this GE filter flo in the local salvation army thrift store and I would like to know your thoughts about it.

First, can you tell me what year it is.... and do you think it's worth the $120 they are asking for it?

It does NOT have the mini basket or the lint filter. It does have the dark gray speckled tub and the spiral ramp agitator. It looks to be in decent condition, but the lid is a little scuffed up (light scratches - probably from boxes being slid around on it). Please forgive the photo quality, I used my cell phones camera.

THANKS!
Kevin

I had this exact washer for a while, it was fun to play with with the mini-basket and cleaned pretty well, but the gentle speed didn't work and the filter flo spray got annoying so I got rid of it. I do miss the spin though, that thing had to work REALLY hard to get the tub moving!!! I loved how it trembled as it started it's spin drain! lol

I think it looks like the '79/80 model I bought new in '81-ish.
Kevin if you get it, drop me a note. I have a spare mini-basket and maybe other innards (filter) as well.

Also: Mattthew (GEextraRinse) please drop a line, I have something to ship to you.

GE Filter Flo

Looks like 1990 model. Looks great, I'd see if they would take less. But it has alot of great features and XL capacity.

Jesse's shop

What do you sell in your shop, Jesse? If they are W/D or ranges, would you post some pics?

ARE YOU IN LA?

I'm assuming from your location description that you are here in LA?!? I would totally get this machine - parts are easily found for it and it will last for years!

If you don't get it please let me know because I will! And regardless - Get in touch if you are in LA - I don't know of very many club members out here - I have a great old GE you'd probably like to see as well - a Programmed 68 here in my apt.

GE washer for sale by everythingold........

Matt, are you suggesting I buy your washer rather then this one?? Your comment cornfused me a bit. And F.Y.I... I am in the Los Angeles area, so shipping would... not be a good thing.

Well.... no GE Filter Flo for me (Dam!)

I went by the Salvation Army thrift store this afternoon where I eye'd this GE washer and to my dismay it was gone! I guess it wasn't meant to be... oh well!

And yes I know "When you snooze you loose"... but I was not willing to pay $120 for it... and if I had a chance to save 50%... well.................

I'm sure there will be others!
