Ge Freezer

I pick up a 1950's ge upright freezer pics coming but I think it needs a recharge gets cold but doesn't freeze yet but its only been plugged in 6 hrs maybe I will get lucky

Congrats on your new acquisition! Pics please. The older units can take awhile to get down to freezing. If not, I've had mine recharged and it is no big deal (except for the cost of freon, which is high).

I put frozen packs to help cool it faster we will see how it goes

It should be at temperature before 6 hours. May need a recharge, hopefully nothing worse than that.
