ge fridge relay problem

Hi guy's, I know it's been a while since I've been on here. Lots of health problems with family members that have taken all my time.

OK, Here's the problem. The relay went out on the 56 GE combo. I got a universal replacement. The only problem is there are only three wires on the replacment relay. The old relay has four. The fridge has four terminals. The one that is missing on the new relay is for a green wire that has some sort of resistor or something on it. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this fridge or know anything about it?

Bethann, sorry to hear about your family troubles. I just acquired a 1956 GE Combination fridge and I may have the wiring diagram for it. The trouble is that I am only home on weekends, so I won't be able to look until this coming weekend. However, if I do find it, I will scan it and send it to you.

I wasn't able to get to my 56 GE Combination refrigerator this past weekend (it's kinda buried under stuff); I hope to get to it soon and if I can get the wiring diagram I will try and get a copy to you.
