Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

i like this dishwasher

looks pretty good to me! i had two bosch dishwashers in the past 7 years and realized Bosch dosent work out well for me. i need a water booster to heat the water for the main cycle. living in a condo, top floor, the water that goes in is just not hot enough to wash hot enough... have a whirlpool gold now, and seems to wash fine, but i dont like the integrated controls, so its hard to tell where the cycle is.. what i would like is an old kitchen aid when made by hobart. i dont understand why these strong work horses arent put back on the market. the consumers will pay higher prices for a strong maching like these. were certainly forced to pay large dollars for the pretty cosmetics, but no one has a dishwasher that is as durable and efficient as these old kitchen aid mechanics... any thoughts as to what dishwasher is made the old way???? please let me know..

Finally had a chance to watch the three videos provided in the link, above. It looks like a cool design, with flatware baskets on the front of each rack, encouraging use of the 1/2 load option. Still, I'd prefer an all-stainless interior. Wonder if GE is using this new wash system in their upper echelon machines?

Certainly encouraging use of the 1/2 load option. Bosch had a dishwasher just like that in the 90s called (well, translated) the Top Rack Washer. Top and bottom rack were identical and one could have any cycle wash both baskets or just the upper one. Relatives of mine had one and it was extremely flexible: you could practically place anything anywhere. Both racks held two rows of full-sized plates or pots, glasses...

Noise?

I was wondering, besides the other perceived largely vanity reasons for having a steel door-only; would having a steel door be a cost effective method of reducing sound transmission vs. a all-plastic tub/door setup? Just curious.

G.E. will be converting all there dishwasher's to this design instead of having so many different types..The tower ones will be first to go..G.E. already has these new ones priced the same with more features than the dishwasher's Abt has this new one staring at $325 bucks and you get 3 full wash arms.I read somewhere that they will be offering alot fewer models because of the change of manufacturing to here will be saving them money in the long run by using just this wash system minus the very top arm on the lowest cost ones..So instead of about 60 models with 3 different types of wash systems, they will have about 20 at the most.. I can't wait to get one LOL...

They are going to have a stainless tub also , probably classified as a profile model. I will definetly buy one when they come out !

I can see

the 1/2 load being REALLY convenient!

I guess if there is a brunch of gross food dried on the bottom of the dishwasher that the interior of the dishwasher would be cleaned once it's over, even if only the top has been washed?

Mark if that were the case and the load was heavily soiled, I'd put everything in the bottom rack and use the 1/2 load for bottom rack.
