Used in Eichler homes in the San Jose area, I saw many of these GE wall refigerators come in as trades when I was a kid working at the appliance store. They were never taken into the building to be checked and resold as used, even if they were working. Their temporary 'home" was the "cage" area in the parking lot to await the scrap guy. As I recall he paid two or three dollars apiece, stacking them with a forklift on his cattle truck along with Duomatics, Wash-A-Matics and the like. This was early to mid 1960's.

I think I could have a wall refrigerator built and painted PANK for that...and have enough over to restore a few thumpers!
