Dang it... Even if not working, it's a trove of spare parts (like the unicouple hoses, racks, timer dial...)

Not working

I'm betting it's the lid switch that is keeping it from working.  Cousins had one of these at their cabin and they had to put the microwave on top of the dishwasher in order for it to run.

It's like our first one! Oh precious baby; such a wonderful machine. It looks hardly used. Do any of you who have that style silverware basket put cooking spoons, spatulas and similar long-handled items through the rectangular openings at the end of the basket?

.
Owner says it trips the breaker when plugged in. From a 50's era ski cabin. Literally a block away, walking over now for a look see.
The lid doesn't want to latch; does it have to be plugged in?[this post was last edited: 2/14/2017-20:36]

'Trips the breaker when plugged in'

Hmmmm... that might just be a bad power cord.  Not surprising after years of flexing, pulling the cord out and putting it away...

Tom - when my '57 like this was the daily driver down in Ogden, I sure did use those rectangualr spaces for cooking utensils!  Of course if that machine hadn't come with the original owner's booklet, I wouldn't have had a clue... LOL

Another possible cause for tripping the breaker could be a stuck motor. It could have stuck from long periods of sitting w/o being used.
