Had to buy a 1969 40" GE P7 oven off facebook for my mother, her old one literally burned up - believe she left a burner on.
Have gotten most of it to work (thanks to this specific website, and all you posters on it), but now the right side oven is on the fritz. Used to work just fine.

When I set the knob to bake or broil, (we don't use clean, or time bake) the right oven will not heat up no matter what temp we set it to.
The light above the temperature knob, which I believe tells you if the oven is heating up, does not turn on. This is the same light which turns "off" once the oven is preheated, I believe.

Well to be honest, sometimes it does work, but not for long. I did not have too much time at their house to mess with it, I believe the sensor is not working but wanted to see if anyone had advice. I've purchased the range manual / parts list from this website but cannot find great information on them, in regards to this specific problem, to be honest.

Model number is J487001
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thank you

Part of what is confusing about finding my oven sensor part number is that it doesn't show up on the parts list (from the parts list pdf purchased from this site).

The sensi-temp sensor shows up under 'sensor', but no 'oven sensor' is listed (other ovens show the 'oven sensor' as WB21X158 which is what I think I have but am not positive.)

To add to my confusion, I also have a thermostat... I thought the sensor and thermostat had the same purpose though?

Any help is appreciated in finding this sensor part number, thank you all

Not sure if this would do it, but is there a setting noted as "MAN" somewhere on the hours to cook dial?  I have had a number of ovens on vintage ranges quit on me because I had managed to set the delayed cook timer - this happens typically on a range where the clock doesn't work...   Again, not sure if this matters when you have a bake/broil/time bake/clean selector, but check this out if you can.

Clock

Thank you for the response turquoise. I don't think I have a "MAN" setting on the dials, although I may be mistaken. Although the oven is indeed equipped with a not-really-functioning-well set of 'timers' as pictured below. You may be right though, as the clock runs slow, and the knobs are gummed up, I'll have to play with the timers next time to see if I set a delayed start by accident.

Thanks again for that tip.

Also, short video of the problem I was seeing is posted below.
