I found this for free on the side of the road locally. Owner said it hasn’t been used in 20 years. Looks decent but went through a hard rain storm last night before I got here. Are these decent performers? It has an adjustable upper rack system and feels pretty hefty. I’m not as familiar with earlier model potscrubber machines like this one. The door latch appears to be stuck open unless I’m missing something? Let me know what you think!

This was their next to top of the line model. Has forced air drying and the adjustable top rack as well as the rare full size one arm under the top rack.

Cool dishwasher. These are good performers, but serious water hogs and they do have their quirks in the early production models. They are unique. They were the first machines with GE's Permatuf tub. They were also the first models by GE to offer a full size wash arm under the top rack and forced air drying. The adjustable top rack is easy to operate. If you keep it there is a special service manual specifically devoted to this model series in the Ephemera library. It is highly informative providing a full history of the design and service pointers for specific issues. I highly recommend purchasing it. Enjoy and keep us posted.
