They are getting a new one

Two thoughts
1)What new appliance is still working as long as this old GE has worked? Does it really clean worse than new dishwashers or are they trying to clean oil off auto parts?
2)I wonder what else this house contains to match this vintage GE dishwasher?
sidenote, not important: Facebook tells me "far from you". After living next to Southfield(Berkley)until 1995 and watching all the fields become subdivisions...doesn't still seem far at all.
