These were cheaply built pile of thin metal panels, sure makes a KA look good, even a D&M portable DW would look sturdy next to this GE mess.

I never saw that model. Ever. GE's convertible portables used a single sheet of metal for the back of the machine and the back of the tank; paint on one side and Plastisol on the other. Not thermally efficient or good for sound isolation.

It would be interesting / fun to hear the tin can run anyways. In a small space,

I might not last through the whole cycle. Adventure in decibels.
