When did they put these in the machines...I have seen a shallow height one in the least expensive models.This one has a

folding cup shelf on the left side

like a service replacement rack in an older unit. I've seen this style of rack in recent / new GE standard tub machines.

Not sure that tube in the top rack actually serves any purpose given the arrangement of the4 older wash system.  (Other than to take up space).
