Tightening A GE FF Washer Belt

Hi Darren, you just slightly loosen the three bolts that hold the motor mounting plate to the suspended frame and slide the motor away from the center and then while holding the belt tight retighten the bolts.

It is often easier to just replace the belt especially if it is not in great shape.

GE Filter Flow washer belt

Hi, the belt looks pretty good in your picture. You may just want to tighten it. You can use an ordinary belt from an automotive store or hardware store.

The same belt fits all GE filter flow washers including the T model plastic tub washers that came after it actually used the same belt, too bad you don’t live closer I would give you a belt I bet you I have 40 new ones that will never be used. There’s just no demand for them anymore. I might use one every few years GEs were not hard on belts the biggest thing that hurt them when the transmission started leaking oil and destroyed the belt. Your machine doesn’t look like it leaks oil that’s a good thing.
