GE vintage dishwasher - $275 (NW Dallas)

Whatever happened to this "vintage" GE control knob and how OLD is this ? Looks like the early mid-50's.

The asking price is absurd; even a hardened GE fan like myself wouldn't pay more than $25 for this POS. It's a BOL; 1968 is a realistic date, but, unless I'm very mistaken, that spray arm is a replacement from the '70's. Somebody did a bad paint job on the exterior. I might want that silverware basket; I've been wanting one of that style in that color but it's nothing that special. Some sellers are kidding themselves.

68-69 model

We moved into a new home in 69 that had this builders model DW in avocado. Didn't last long before the rusting began! I see some bubbles in the plastisol on the door of this one.
