Missing third rack.

I think if you enlarge the picture, number 3, the Top U shaped Upper Rack is nested in to the bottom rack.
You can see the "Handles around the perimeter of the rack especially on the right hand side. Also you can see near the center the wire that connects the two tines to hold the Silverware Basket.
I studied this for awhile and I think it is there. I thought the same thing that the top rack was missing. At first I thought there were way too many tines for the lower rack.

Think you are onto something.....
Sort of hard to make out but yes, there are way too many tines in that lower rack as shown. Also agree you can see handles where there shouldn't be any.
Truly is amazing how many of these units keep turning up. Cannot tell due to racks in the way but the Plastisol inner lining seems in good condition.

Hi Laundress.
I am not computer savvy at all. But I have a touch screen which allows me to enlarge the picture.
If you remember the Princess series that had the BowTie and the same silver basket as in the picture only in pink, it needs that "bridged wire" between the two tines to rest the "hooks" at the widest ends of the Silver Basket

I wish I had some memories like you - all I remember is my mom washing everything by hand, her mom doing the same...few dishwashers around my neighborhood.

For my two bits
These Mobile Maid dishwashers are pretty good units for what they are. Long as one has an ample supply of *HOT* water (140F to 160F) and a good detergent results are nothing short of amazing from a vintage unit. For really badly soiled loads unplug and reset the timer for a second main wash...
Besides having to baby that Plastisol liner other niggles would be drying often isn't the best, noise, and as mentioned you really cannot use the top as extra counter space. That is unless you are happy with taking everything off before loading and putting it back afterwards.
Force wise am here to tell you these MM's move some water! You hear china and glassware begging for mercy! *LOL* This dw cleans far better than the more modern Frigidaire portable it replaced. Unlike that unit one rarely finds yibbles especially from glassware/cups loaded in the top racks/in corners.
