THANK YOU, TIM
Hello Tim,
Quick story: Although many in my early life had Easy Spindriers, there was only one wringer washer in my extended family, my Great Aunt Mary's General Electric. She got a real kick out of my interest in it, and we had many fun washdays together when I was a youngun. When she passed during the summer after my sophomore year in college, the GE wringer was bequeathed to me--one of the joys my life. I brought it back to the apartment shared with four other guys, and we all wringer washed. It was amazing to see how fast non-washer men can adapt. When we returned for our senior year and went to fetch the GE and move to our new digs, our neighbor Kitty actually begged me not to take it away; she had used it all summer. The four unit, very old Cleveland OH house had a shared basement, and Kitty, formerly without a washer had taken it over. More generous then than now, I let her have it.
I would love to have this washer, in Aunt Mary's honor, and because it's TOL with the timer. Fun fact: this metal agitator with the fins extending beyond the base create furious agitation; it's the same beast found in the early GE automatics.
