While channel surfing, I stumbled onto Sunset Boulevard. I have long been hooked on the coffee making scene, but tonight I noticed for the first time that the heat is never turned on under the lower bowl, and realized it made perfect sense because of the bright orange light it would throw into the scene. Most people probably never noticed that the table stove was not turned on anyway. I was always so wrapped up in the beautiful lines of the Silex brewer that I never noticed the cold stove until just now.
