Listing nearly doubled overnight. I thought SQ TL washers weren't all that, at least from what one gleaned by other threads.

Wow. I sold my last one, approx 2 years old, too cheap at $500...delivered and hooked up.
Although the buyer unexpectedly GAVE me their perfect condition, recent vintage, TL Samsung in the bargain. I inturn sold that for about $300 delivered.

I don't get this.

The old design machine is still available as home-style commercial machines from the manufacturer. It costs a bit more but it is still able to be ordered.

I don't know that much about eBay.  I have an account but have only bought a couple of dozen items that I couldn't find elsewhere.  Is this bidding history legit or is there some kind of scam going on to push up the price?

 

Is someone really going to pay $1925 plus another $300 to $400 shipping?  Seems crazy.

No, don't think so....

Bidding was only really between a few serious bidders; and a***s(76503) (the winner) simply bid his max at last moment. That then was that.

Same thing has happened over the years to several eBay auctions for vintage or whatever NOS appliances. Recall years ago now a "NOS" pink Maytag W&D set (circa 1950's) that went for very big money.

Someone with an eBay feedback rating >76K sounds like someone who knows what they are doing.
