Siemens never used yellow for the dispenser buttons but Bauk
Oh, just read the other entrys. Delete, delete, delete.
Yup - that is typical for Bauknecht.
It is quite true, while evil Whirlpool gutted the wonderful laundry products division immediately, they couldn't kill off the quality dishwashers right away. That was a market in which Bauknecht was not seen as the leader. So they had to do more than just pretend to build quality for a while.
That dishwasher should provide you with a few centuries of excellent service - but remember to clean those spray arms regularly and keep the micro filter clean. Never wash a glass with the paper cover still on. The paper will disintegrate and jam the mesh in that filter. I have found the best way to clean them is with denture cleaning tablets and a soft toothbrush.
Those machines are designed for very soft water - they use ion-exchangers over here. So be sure that you always use enough automatic detergent. It was also built for the enzyme based cleaners, not the ususal phospate/clorine stuff still in use in the 'States.
With the right cleaners and the 140° cycle you can forget pre-rinsing for ever. Even seriously burnt on stuff comes out clean.
Nice machine, good for you!
