GE's new stacked laundry set

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I ask because GE has never made any of their own stacked sets before. They have all been sourced from various companies.

Also, if it's not a Hydrowave machine, how does the auto water level work? None of the other full size machines that aren't Hydrowave machines have an auto water level, seems very expensive to come up with the technology and only offer it on the stacked sets.

NEW GE STACKED LAUNDRY APPLIANCES

They also have a 24" stack that looks similar, the 24" model is Korean it has the same washer mech as the 24" TL compact that GE has been selling for the last half dozen years or more, it is available in gas and 240 dryer models.

I dunno.  I"m gonna go out on a limb here.  That dryer sure does remind me of a WCI produced dryer.  I'm willing to bet ya whit is made by WCI/Frigidaire.

The washer lid and body reminds me of the Frigidaire units. ANd Jamie, Whirlpool had regular agitator models with auto load sensing, so it doesn't necessarily mean that it must be a Hydrowave to have auto load sensing.

Upon second look, it you look closely at the controls, the knobs look very much like Whirlpool's, and it even had the start/pause button with lid lock.

Could we get a definitive answer on this?

I also was curious about this, unless I am mistaken, I thought that was a GE design dryer interior on top, and I figured by the "contoured" shape of the washer that this must be a new GE design, the lid looks Frigidaire, but the shape of the machine looks like something else....PS both Kenmore and Frigidaire machines looks like the old boxy machines they have always been, not like this....I am really curious, and I will betcha that washer IS a hydrowave. Kenmore and Firgidaire still have the rotary-mechanical timer.

Methinks its a Hydrowave as well. The control panel has the fabric softener button and the spin speed is 710 rpms. now I am curious to see what the washer looks like now. That machine is interesting...I did click on the User Manual on the site to see what they have to say but cant pull it up. The dryer is all GE design.

Mike, I was able to pull up the user manual.  Pretty much a run-of-the-mill washer.  Hope ya have better luck in pulling it up maybe tomorrow.

Online Manual

I was able to view the online manual. For whatever it is worth, the manual shows the dryer lint filter mounted in the door. The picture on the webpage shows a plain white door on the dryer with no lint filter.

Just saying...

Ah gentlemen............................

I think we need to conduct an investigation into this strange machine. LOL

users manual

Interesting machine. IMHO it is a GE made machine. The users manual shows how to clean the fabric softner dispenser and it is definitely a GE one. The dryer lint filter in the door says "some models"...maybe the 24" version has the filter in the door.
