It was suggested that we really should get together at least once more this summer, so we emailed the folks nearby and August 30th was the date the most people were available. So, let's do it!

August 30th, but we'll make it more of an all day affair. Let's say starting about 1pm?? Once it's near dark, we'll light the tiki torches and maybe do a few flashy, but not loud, fireworks we got from across the border!

And, we can do breakfast the next morning if anyone wants to camp out! Yes, Ron, we have your reservation, and no one gets your spot!

Let us know what'cha think!

Happy August!
Chuck & Rich

Since I'm a frequent flyer to the "Cincotta/Dilts" compound, it looks like my reservation has already been verified. So, I guess I'll be attending!

COME ONE, COME ALL! I can't think of a more pleasant way to spend a day than with good friends, good food, and good conversation.

Hope to see everyone there. And to any new faces out there that are thinking of attending, please do! You won't regret it!

Ron

'morning Chuck,

I reside in Petersham ... north eastern part of the Quabbin -- Athol, Orange area.

Looking forward to meeting you, Rich and the Mass. crowd.; and let's not forget, your collection of toasters and percolators!

Rob.

Oh, Rob, (shades of Laura Petrie!) don't forget Ron's in RI. We don't want him to cry!

And I think Tim from CT said he could make it, as well as Louis & Billy, also from the "Constitution State!"

It'll be a lot of fun!!

Orange? You have a pretty big antique shop on Rt 2 that I remember having some pretty interesting stuff.

Chuck

Chuck, et al.,

Ok, ok ... my apologies. How'z this: Looking forward to meeting the whole crowd! Oh Ro o o o o ob -- heh heh heh.

Oh yes, I know the antique shop. 'remember when the towns used to string Christmas lights from pole to pole? They were large sized bulbs, black wire, and those screw-on sockets? I got quite a few of those from that antique shop. They once were used in Orange. Prices aren't bad there, either.

Rob.

It's tough to find shops that have decent prices anymore, isn't it? They all think their booths are Internet antique shops and they can get the prices from a world-wide audience locally! Too bad really.

Looking forward to meeting you on the 30th! Maybe some more new folks will be able to make it too!

Hi Chuck, I hear ya! As much as I purchase from eBay, I miss the actual going to a multi-dealer shop to see what they have. I have so many interests; and, said type of shop is the perfect way to browse. Try looking up Christmas lights, toasters, percolators, blue willow, Corningware, [ ... ;) ] etc. etc. online all at once!

I do find prices vary wildly from one part of the state to another; and even within a few miles of each other. Prime example: Going up Rt. 7 in western Mass. There are several shops. I was looking for Buffalo blue willow platters. This is no joke: range of prices for same size and similar conditions were from 37.00 to 75.00 sheesh! I don't fancy cutsy places either. Give me a shop were you can dig around and get dirty ... and have a variety of 1940s porcelain street light heads (AND the radial wave reflectors! (complete street light used to be 50.00 a few years ago ... try 300.00 now)), brass faucets, push button lights switches, Electrolux model XXX parts, WASHING MACHINE PUMPS ... That's my idea of fun!

Looking forward to meeting you, et al., on the 30th.

Rob.

Rich and Chuck,

As time is getting closer, I'm really looking forward on seeing you guys again.

As it stands, I'm working 12-8 AM all week long next week so that will put me in Mass. mid-afternoon.
I'm really hoping that they change my day off from Wed. to Sat to enjoy the weeked with you guy and the AW.org family!

Let's see....... just, cross those fingers and toes for me!

So, after our hauls from the fleas on Sunday, we were wondering if anyone is going to be around the day after the soiree. If so, maybe instead of breakfast we might want to head out to a couple flea markets? Totally up to whomever is going to be here that day if anyone!

Please let us know!
Chuck

If I ever work another job it will not be for the City of NY!
Too much paperwork to put through and then they shoot it down knowing it's an holiday weekend.
It makes one wonder if they are connected to this world???

I work with a bunch of.............

Too bad you won't be able to make it (at least that's what I think that meant!). Well, hopefully we'll soon have a date settled for a Christmas party, and you can try again!

Hey there,

A message to anyone who's gonna be able to make it.....

If you have a lawn game or anything like that (Jarts, Bocce, Croquet, etc.) Please bring it along! We have John, Coldspot's, frizbee here in hostage, and have been looking for a bocce set locally with not much luck.

Do you have something fun to bring (oh, I know that leaves it wide open!!!)?

Chuck

Well, well, well -- Do you have something fun to bring

Chuck, SIR,

I'm not going to touch that one ... yet.

Any cribbage players coming?????? Have board and cards, will travel.

Rob.

heh heh heh ...

SIR, TWENTY, SIR. However, I shan't tell you what I am going to give you twenty ... OF ...

Looking forward to Sat.

Rob.

Yikes! After those last few messages, I'm not sure which I feel more of: the need to smoke a cigar or take a shower because I feel dirty!

This is shaping up to be some event!

Ron (or Daddy Ron if you prefer!)

Billy and I will be there....

Anyone like Mexican Train Dominoes? I can bring that.

And Mike, Bring that Miele!

I am going to make a cheese cake with oreo crumb bottom. We'll also bring a salad and whatever else I can whip up!
