Globalization comes to home appliances

As someone with limited kitchen space, I definitely like the space utilization of European style kitchens. IKEA has reasonably priced euro style kitchens, but the whirlpool built appliances they offer are rather low end.

American home appliances are taking on European flair

American appliances are getting smaller and more efficient, like their European cousins.

Yeah, I agree with you, IKEA's range of appliances here is quite 'dull'.
Over here they're a mixture of Electrolux and Whirlpool built machines, but they tend to have limit features.

You can always buy a kitchen at Ikea and buy your appliances somewhere else.

We have an IKEA oven, induction cooker, range hood and freezer. All build into a nearly 30 years old kitchen.

Ikeas kitchen cabinets look nice so as stated previously If I was going to install a new kitchen their cabinets would be OK and then I would choose the appliances I want to have and leave Ikea's stuff in the store.  Not sure all of their appliances are from the same manufacturer but I don't want all my appliances from the same place.  Like to spread it around..getting the best I can afford..but not all from the same design shop, and why should I give one company all my money?  Forget that.

The BF just put in an IKEA kitchen, but his own appliances... I only had input for the stove (the very sexy WP WFE710H0AS and matching WMH31017AS microwave over)... He kept his KA dw (good) and Sumsung fridge (horrible)...

Nice stuff, but took the installer FOREVER to put it all together, with 5 separate trips back to the store for missing hardware and panels...
