This afternoon we had to put down Coco after 16 1/2 years. She'd lived with kidney failure for a few months, but it became obvious in the last week that she wasn't going to make it much longer. I wish I had a good digital pic of her glorious yellow-orange eyes, but she was quite the expert at spotting a camera and closing them! She was also one of the most laid back cats ever, and was constantly falling asleep in yet another contorted and seemingly uncomfortable position. I feel blessed to have had her for so many years.

Sorry about Coco

She looks like she was a beautiful little Kitty. Such lovely
white fur she wore. How funny that she always closed
her eyes for pictures. She knew exactly what she was doing,
clever Kitty.

So very sorry for you loss

Coco is looking down at you and saying Thank you for a wonderful life. Think of the great memories you two made.

Same thing happened to me on NY Day. It is not an easy thing to do.

I still see Marbles around the house. I know she is here with me.

Thanks very much for the thoughtful messages, guys.

Most of us have been through this at one point or another, and it always brings back the importance of the unconditional love that pets give to their families.
