FINALLY!!! After 3 weeks of waiting, my modern dream machine has finally arrived!!! I'd say it a pretty nice upgrade from the DD Kenmore! I don't have any electrical hooked up to it yet, I'll do that tomorrow with dad's help. But MAN!!! This thing is a TANK! It weighs around the same, possibly more than the BD Kenmore next to it, and I just can't get over how much METAL there is! The shipping bolts were 2 and half feet long!!! I can't WAIT to get this thing up and running!!!!

Wow, what a gorgeous machine. I'd love to talk to you after you've used it Jamie and hear what you think. I'm currently making plans to add the appliance lineup to my store. The vacuums have done so well, and some of my customers are already asking about the other Miele products. Congratulations, I know you'll love it.

Welcome To The Miele Club

Know your going to have FUN!

Keep those bolts, in case you ever need to move the washer.

Yes, Miele units are quite heavy, mainly because they use cast iron for the frame and as counter balance instead of the cheap concrete blocks found in most other front loaders.

To keep your machine happy, use low sudsing or HE detergents only.

Best of luck,

L.

Welcome to Miele World

You are going to love it, i love mine, I have the white version of that.I also just have it hooked up to cold water, and it seems to do Fabulous.I bought a spliter from the hardware store., it sounds like a coffee pot when it is on 190. Congradulations!!!

hey Jamie!
very nice washer you have, may I´ll own such one soon.
What modell is it?
Is it a W 3838 oder a W 3636?

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! I'm very excited to get this machine up and running sometime tonight! I'll be sure to take lots of pics for everyone! This is the W1215, it's max spin speed is 1,600 RPM. Unfortunately, I don't have electrical run to it yet, so I haven't been doing any laundry in it, but I do have the manual about memorized and I wiped it down with a nice soft cloth about every 10 minutes or so last night while I was sitting in front of it staring!

It looks as though we have another Miele owner! It's seems that "Miele Fever" is sweeping the forum!

I love the silver colour scheme on your model, it looks fab! and I also like the push-button control panel too, I hope you have a great time using it and if you have a video camera on you, you may want to do a few videos of it in action!

Here's my model which I've got in October 2005, Only mine is in white and has a different control panel layout plus it many special programmes for shirts, jeans, dark garments etc. It's the best machine I've ever owned and used!

Here's a pic!

One more thing, Happy Washing!

Launderess, I've been saving up for this machine for over a year now! All of my allowance as well as my paychecks from work have gone into my savings account to save up for this machine! This is the second most expensive thing I have ever purchased, the most expensive was my car! I did however get a good deal on the machine, it's sticker price is $2,200 plus tax, I got it for $1,999 plus tax and I also got free delivery as well as a free haul away of one of my old machines!
