Well the 3rd March was a sad day in Washing Machine history, sadly John Jacob Bloom passed away at the age of 87 - RIP
Such an inspiring man who made such a dent in the washing machine market in the 60’s, he gave the competition a run for there money !!

Making a dent in the appliance industry is analogous to having a blow out sale at a tire company, but if the poor soul had been a bit more disciplined, he might have made a go of it. It sounds as if money ran through his hands like water, as my parents would say.

I wonder if the likes of the BBC will make a documentary programme about his antics? I would find it interesting.
