Congratulations!

If accelerated sinking of the earth's crust is ever noticed in North Carolina, I know just the spot where it will originate. I have the WH deep fryer. With Wennol polish, I managed to get the aluminum almost as shiny as the chrome below it. They had an ingenious design with the heating element cast into the side of the cooking well so that crumbs of coating or breading that fell off food being fried settled to a cooler layer of fat at the bottom and were less likely to burn and give food a bad flavor that they were if the heat came from the bottom--or so the book said.

Wow - that's a big haul for one weekend, just like old times!

Is there anything in the Lux box?

Good point about the Westy deep fryer, I'd never heard that before, Tom.  The element location does make a lot of sense.  We so rarely see anything from Westinghouse around here, large or small appliances, it makes me wonder if they weren't in the more popular stores or just weren't as durable.

Nice score! I love that Westinghouse deep fryer!! I noticed the GE Canister vac, too. Did you get the cleaning accessories with that? If not, there's a thrift store in Magog where I remember seeing at least a few of the cleaning tools if you might need them.
