Sadly my AEG 74640 has been retired after 8 loyal trouble free years. Now the bearings are going and the suspension is shafted so it launches around like a violent hotpoint 95series machine. The jet is also not as powerful and the pump is noisy.

Have been talking my folks into the TOL Zanussis instead of the low end AEGs being virtually the same inside. I'd quite like the AEG protex to replace it so if it means the zanussi has to stay in for a while then so be it.

Thought i'd share a pic of the old machine *including one of my dogs lol* and my zanussi in its place. it looks a treat!

i know what it's like to loose a machine that has surved day in and day out.
i'll feel the same when my hottie aqualtis dies (i think the barings are on thaire way out)but i might also be excited cos depending on my funds a miele will be orderd!is the back on that zanussi metal or plactic?

AEG Warranty...

Im guessing a lower spec AEG would cost about the same as a top-spec Zanussi (ZWF 14791W for example), so would'nt the AEG be a better bet with the 5 yr warranty, rather than the 1 year cover on the Zanussi?

Assuming AEG arestill doing the 5yr cover?

Liam
