Goodbye to garbage with the GE Disposall (vintage video)

Came across this fun youtube... you gotta love the music if anything. I was researching the GE Compactall is how I ran across it. there was one in our Habitat store today...

Tried watching the video clip-got an error message-however could scroll thru the pictures-GOOD HOPPER shots of stuff being shredded in the GE Disposall.Love seeing hopper shot of working other shredders--SSI in paticular,and trash trucks.Love those packer shots.

Was able to watch the video clip on my IPad-excellent-the videos were well produced in those days-yes ,even the action hopper shots.The music was good,too!Too bad this GE disposer design is no longer with us-works much better than the dreck made today.The Carboloy shredders should be in todays machines.However you will still need to have the trash truck take away your trash and other solid waste.

I was sorely tempted by the Compactall,, it's a portable model and I've never seen a GE compactor before, we had a Kenmore portable. However now living in town there's really no use for one . Our city recycling program takes 90% of all "garbage" and we don't even have to sort it anymore into different bins since about 6 months ago. In fact they want people to just start putting it all in clear plastic bags which are lighter and more efficient for the worker on the truck to just pick up and toss it all in.
