Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

What do you control with the dail wassermenge. Is it a waterlevelcontroller? I've never seen a frontlaoder where you could control the waterlevel.

Pretty kool. I'd like to see that schleudern cranked up to 1400!

The old Westinghouse machines with the "Weight to Save" door had water level adjustments available. There are likely others out there that also allow for water level adjustment.I'm sure the f/l guru's will let us know!

I bought a Haier FL washer a few years back, while I would rather a Miele, this machine does a pretty good job. It has 2 water levels, low which is just below the door boot and high which is 1/3 of the way up! Even though I can't do a boil wash, wih some Tide, Clorox 2, and Cascade dishwasher detergent, I can make some awesome whites! (The cycle however washes for an hour and a half, then the machines does 5 high water level rinses. Takes about 2 and a half hours total.)

Pre 1990

Most pre 1990 machines I've come across have had a 1/2 or full load option. On the Miele and Bosch machines I've used it reduces the fill level, particularily on the rinses, and on the Miele it skips 2 rinse intervals out of 5.

It was what they did when they still used 130L for a normal cycle.

This is not a vintage machine so should be in one of the other forums.

It is very similar to the Simpson Enviro 130 from a few years ago, I had one which I repaired and gave away. There are 5 water levels for rinses, interestingly they are not pressure switch controlled, they are just timed. So the machine fills to the low level which is sensed with the pressure switch, then it adds a little extra water, the time it adds for depends on what number it is set to - on 1 it adds no extra, on 5 it tops up several times. The amount of extra water added with each addition varies depending on water pressure as it is only timed. At my house which has low pressure gravity supply, even on 5 it only added a little extra water. When I gave it away, its new home had mains pressure water, and on 5 it filled above the axle level - drum more than half full of water!

Simpson Enviro front load washers aren't a copy of Gorenje, they ARE Gorenje. They were made by Gorenje, badged as Simpson.
When Electrolux took over, they dropped Gorenje products as they had no end of Electrolux brands to choose from, mainly Zanussi.

I don't have a pic of an Enviro washer, but they would crop up on ebay.
