Been looking & reading here for years about the only good tl washer made these days. The '96 90 series KM's were still running normal, but the thread here about SQ going electronic & possible lower water use convinced me to buy now.
(Having the money now didn't hurt either!)
Love the quiet operation of both W&D,they're both tol. The washer IS a bit noisey on low wash speed, but not bad. We will have to adjust to 2 speed wash compared to 3. Wife washed most of her clothes on med wash spd on KM. Reg may be a bit much & slow not enough.
I said she might try shorter time Reg or longer time slow. OR,if near machine, mostly slow w/some Reg.
I LOVE that the washer spray rinses about 15 sec during 1st spin & then continues to spin at least a minute before going to rinse fill. The old BD's would JUST stop spray rinsing & go to rinse in like 15 seconds, leaving soapy water in the system. The DD didn't spray rinse at all 1st spin & I'd always turn it to last spin after washing to get a 1st spray rinse.(Notice I LIKE 1st spray rinse's?)
So far,the spin is the smoothest, quietest of any washer I've had. And NO DD clunk is awesome. Got the lid switch defeated 1st thing so I(and my wife a bit) can watch the machine wash/spin like a washer should. More info/excessive rambling soon.;)

Yes, welcome to the club. And I'm sure Dan can tell you how to adjust the water level to where it should be....I also think you will find that "normal" speed is not as severe as a DA agitator and will be fine for most loads....

Congrats

My Huebsch ZWN432 / ZDE30R set is about to reach the 3 year mark. Could not be happier. No problems and hope to not have any for at least a decade. Congrats on your purchace.

KM to SQ

Thank's for acknowledging my good fortune! I know how -from info here- to raise the water level, but need a socket to fit the hex-head only screws. It's the one missing from my set.

The dryer's side opening door is a bit of a pain compared to the KM's full width drop down as my wife likes to take clothes out damp & hang during cycle.(She opens the door & clothes want to tumble out on the floor.) Though the side open does make it easier to get clothes out of the back of 'cylinder'.

I've told her to set for less time or use 'auto' set to 'less dry' because I think all that starting & stopping during the cycle can't be good for the dryer or energy. But,she's done it for 16+years on the KM,so I'm pretty 'quiet' about it now.

I'm still picture ignorant & only have cell phone camera at the moment. If I ever get a decent cam & figure out posting pics,I'll be dangerous.

dryer door

the dryer door is probably reversible. if reversing the door would help the awkwardness, look for plastic covers opposite where the hinges are......
