That is the all-time saddest Dormeyer I've ever seen, and I've seen some pretty forlorn examples. To think that this was a luxury appliance when new!
Maybe $5 as a parts machine - and considering how dirty it is, I'd have to need the part pretty darn bad.
The mind boggles at what this poor machine must have been put through to reach such a sad state. Perhaps someone needed an anvil and this mixer was all they had handy....
The fool who goes after this basket case/parts machine will incur a $25 transaction once shipping charges are added in, which would make him or her an even bigger fool than the seller.
I don't know how many similar mixers I've seen in thrift stores over the years that were complete, in plug & play condition, and priced well under $25.
That'd be my max, and then only if I needed something off of it real bad.
It always scares me a little when an eBay seller photographs something on the grass - it makes me wonder how bad the house is that they don't dare photograph an indoor item indoors.
Are they sure that mixer actually worked-looks like they "stored" it at the landfill-then dug it up to sell.Would like to have a Dormeyer-but not one like that! That one wouldn't even sell at a yard sale.
