Great Big Huge Moon April 7 "Pink Moon"

Another super moon, this one called the Pink Moon named for the spring flowers rises Tuesday evening. Remember what Phil Lefever told us that  if you look at the big fat moon through a tissue or towel tube the optical illusion is canceled and the mood will look to be normal size.

I'll be watching for tonight's moon.  Last night the moon was almost full and quite impressive - tonight's should be even nice.

 

Makes me think this would be a great night to go outside and play 'kick the can'......

I got a phot Monday morning

just before dawn. It wasn't quite full, but was pinkish. too cloudy this morning to even see. Just light through the clouds. Surise was red, raining now.

Raining here now, too, but I caught a glimpse of the moon through a crack between clouds. It's yellow, but too far up to do the optical illusion-busting trick Phil told us about.
