Getting there. Still have some spots to fill in. I have secured the services of a local chap who cuts 2x monthly for $30. Can't beat that with a weedwacker for sure.

I will outsource the cutting for the remainder of the year. Next year, I will decide if I want to purchase a rider or keep on having someone else cut.

Mostly rye, a bit of fescue here and there and the bluegrass is AWOL. Most of it went down the drain with all the rain we've had.

Is it me, or is your lot kind of wedge shaped?  Our lot is a bit of a rectangular island.  We have a small street on the west side of our house, and a private gravel road on the east side which is owned by the  wood window mfr. next door.  They maintain it and plow the snow in winter because it's also an access road to the employee parking lot.  We have a permanent easement to use the gravel road because it is the only route we have to access our garage.

Wow, what a difference a lawn makes, Ben! Looks beautiful.

Can't believe you found someone to mow at such a reasonable price! Had to hire it out last summer due to asthma and knee issues, and the cheapest I could find was $42 per weekly mow, although that included going around the fence, house, garden and retaining walls with a string trimmer.

Your place is looking more like a settled-in home all the time. Have you started eyeing the prices of outdoor Christmas lights, yet?

I have 2 25 ft sets of C-7 but I have not even thought about where I will put them as of yet. I have 2 110 outlets out front and 2 in the back. I won't have any trees for a while so any decor will go on the house itself.

Also, ran the trimmer and attached is a bottle of history for me.
