We have really knowledgable people in our group about lots of different things-do we have any guitar experts?Picked up a Gibson hollow body electric and would like to know more about it.Looked at all the guitar books and cant match it up.

Guitars

I ran downstairs and snapped a picture of some of the ones in Dean's studio. This is his first love ( probably more than me ). He's been playing since he was fourteen. When he's not working, he's playing. I think every one of those guitars have had pickups changed, bridges, pick guards, etc...
I don't even want to get into the amps ,pedals, and recording gear. He has got to be the biggest tone freak around.
I think that's why he really don't jump me to bad for the appliance thing. He is just as bad in his own thing.

Cool! Love those fenders too! Strats are my fav! A friend I played with had the blond telecaster like on the right and I ordered a brand new 1974 natural finish Jazz bass like Deans black one. They still had the chrome gaurds on them then.

Oh yeah, I found this last week. 1973 I`m front and center with glasses, we were preforming at a school thing. Hair Hair Hair!

Bethann, you're lucky you both have collecting interests. I know zip about guitars other than the "names" and some models. It was quite a coinkidink the other day after having read this post the first time that when I stopped in at the "village" there was a guitar case laying on the floor near the shelves holding all the old clock radios and junk. So I went and opened it and inside was a Suzuki acoustic guitar. All was shiny and new looking with a $99 price tag. I wasn't sure if it was a steal or not but my gut said no so I left it but someone else grabbed it immediately after I put it down. I checked the web and I think I made the right decision, it appeared to be a Suzuki student guitar, not worth much more than that new. Now had it said Fender or Gibson or Silvertone (in excellent shape mind you) I'd have grabbed it
