Rustic Seder Table at the Lake Cabin

It was fun to do this rustic Seder, but getting Kosher wine is a challenge in upstate NY. Phil

Did anybody see the really charming documentary on the three elderly sisters preparing for their families' Seder meal that was aired on PBS this week? They were making their own gefilte fish and kvetching all over the place because they couldn't agree on how to assemble their father's huge gorgeous and vintage old meat grinder properly(so they go out to Home Depot to buy a new Waring, oy!). What really got to me were the two behemoth stockpots full of Cholent that was packed to the top with huge chunks of chuck and knaidlach. Beautiful and touching piece if you get a chance to see it and now all I want to do is find a good Cholent recipe and make some. Call me the Pesach Goy but I love a good Seder and I make a pretty mean homemade Gefilte Fish, if I do say so myself. Peace and happiness to all and their families!

Passover!

I had a real nice Passover. But after two days of extensive eating, I am over stuffed.

The Last Supper, at which the sacrament of Holy Communion was instituted was Passover Seder. The matzo was the Body of Christ and the cup of Elijah was the Blood of Christ.
My parish had Passover Seder yesterday.
