Had to replace our water heater

We had to replace our gas water heater. It was leaking from the relief valve, replaced that last year and still continued to leak, had it checked and also found it was rusting at the bottom so before the flood we replaced it. Central FL Gas had a nice rebate program so replaced this monster with a Rinnai Tankless one. Here is the before and after.

My niece has the same Rinnai natural gas model. She loves it. Only runs when a faucet is opened and is VERY economical to use. Only trouble she has had, which you would not have in Florida, is a neighbor that persists in plowing snow up against the side of the house blocking that vent, her furnace vent and dryer. It will not run unless the vent outside is not totally free of any obstructions
