Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Well I was the renegade rainy day Texan. And we darn sure needed the rain. I ran errands most of the day and such. And am busy tomorrow too, no time for bread baking. Besides, I don't have anyone to share the loave(s) with and I'm not gonna eat any.

ohh Venus!

T'day we reached 50 degrees--unheard of in NE in Jan so GregM came over and we moved washing machines. Then I took him to dinner at the Mexican reataurant I worked at for 15 years.
THEY have the BEST Tex-Mex in Boston, we stuffed ourselves on nachos, tacos, enchiladas and caught up with old friends. Then we rolled ourselves into the theater to see "The Producers"! We barely fit in the seats but with all the laughing we shook dinner down!! Still 50 degrees at 10pm when we came out.

Now tomorrow will be my baking day as its gonna be nasty here. Poundcake made in my 1955 Mixmaster is in order!! Ask robert & gansky about it.

I'll be down for bread soon or you can bake here when you come up to get your poppy frigidaire.

Cheers
jon

I didn't bake today,

but I went to my friend Linn's house, and I made her favourite, my Spanish rice.

It's hardly authentic, but she likes it, and it's easy. I make my big oval Presto electric skilletful, and she takes the leftovers for work lunches, and I have a few days of it, too.

This time, I was truly awful, and used more than (more than!) 4 strips of bacon for flavour, as well as the pound of ground chuck....

We had that, and watched a dvd. The fun, but slight "Beyond The Sea." Kevin Spacey is a favourite of us both.

I might bake tomorrow (Sunday.) Depends on how the Semi-annual meeting at church goes.

Better yet Venus

My door is open, y'all c'mon up for dinner sometime ok?

Geextrarince: I made enough for three, so the leftovers are here.

The date was nice, I even got roses, thats a FIRST for me!

Venus, I made bread yesterday too. Made a Honey Wheat, the wife and kids have already eaten it.

Stick a fork in me...I'm done

Venus,
The clouds and rain returned to Ohio today so out came the Kitchenaid. If your recipe book has the one for "Dutch Apple Bread" you have to try it. I used raw sugar instead of white in the bread part. I think it adds a little more flavor but regular sugar would be good too.

While the bread was raising, I made the "Italian Beef" that Chachp gave us in the slow cooker thread. I was out a little late with friends last night so I didn't have time to make it in the crockpot. I adapted his recipe to the pressure cooker. It was done about a hour. It was sooo easy and tasty. Won't matter how you make it.

Note to Toggle: Vlasic Stackers Banana Pepper Rings 16oz jar. Around here they're used a lot on pizza.

I think I'm ready for the sofa.

Don't feel bad...

On just about every menu here there is "Greek salad."

I have never ONCE seen Feta cheese served over a salad in a Greek-American's household. It is always served on the side in a dish, right next to the Calamata olives.

Ahem! Togs....

Listen Mister,

I didn't wash that damn thing before I sent it to you!

It came STRAIGHT....here that...STRAIGHT from the grocery store to you!

It NEVER left the bag...

Now...STOP IT!! Or I will find a bigger banana pepper and....

(Ok, Mr.Smarty Pants, figure this encrypted message out, no hints!)
