Hey everyone,
I have a Jenn-Air cooktop that I am thinking of installing during a kitchen remodel. I have the option to get the halogen cooktops. I currently have the radiant and euro burner. I was wondering what everyone's opinion of the halogen are and if they are worth the added expense.

No, but they look really cool with no pot on the burner, but they do not have any advantage what so ever in actual cooking and they have about 1/4 the life expectancy of the glass top radiant elements.

With our Jenn-Air coot-top we have all 5 styles of surface burners including Induction, overall my favorite is conventional coil and induction, but JAs induction cartridges are noisy.

The Euro elements are best for slow steady simmering and the glass radiant are the prettiest.
