Hamilton Beach Custom 200 Series
I have this mixer and have not been impressed using it. I recently acquired an instruction/recipe book for it, purchased separately. The recipes are the same as the ones for a Hamilton Beach Model K. No illustrations of the mixer other than the front cover and explaining the food grinder/chopper in the booklet. It was available with a (built-in ptu) plastic body food grinder/chopper if the front cover is removable and there is a screw knob attached on the underside of the front of the motor. HB sold this model from 1968 until about 1978. I have seen these in white, avocado, harvest gold, almond and chrome. The beaters were similar to Kenmore stand mixers sold in Sears catalogs during the 1960s. They were sold with standard HB bowls 1 and 3 qt sizes, in both Pyrex and stainless steel. Many were returned due to motor problems with the brushes and arcing. The motor's stand mounting bracket makes portable use awkward. It did not work as well as expected. Lacking power even though it draws more wattage over mixers of the same era. When Sunbeam started selling mixmasters with dough "hooks" I saw this mixer in the clearance section of stores.
