Doesn't work!? Just like many other WCI products I guess! At least the asking price is fair! I like to see that they kept the same style of window for so long!
the windowed door on this dryer!!
i would LOVE to be able to put this dryer door on my maytag dryer. that would be "OUTTA SIGHT"!!! but i don't know if this dryer door would fit on the door opening of the maytag dryer door??
anybody know???
(i have a stream of heat "SOS" big door maytag dryer)...
i appreciate you both replying to my question and also for letting me know to look for a commercial maytag dryer door, because those doors have windows in them. and thank you for adding that GREAT picture so i can see exactly what they look like PhilR.
i'm thinking my best bet would be to look for someone who is selling commercial maytag dryer parts on craigslist, right?
I knew we'd talked about these Hamilton WCI washers and dryers before so I rewound the tape back 1,842 days and there it was!
This ad is from October, 1971. The dryer above has a little later style handle on the door, but I don't think the Hamilton name was around very long under the WCI umbrella.
I guess it's been a while, but I did order the parts to make a dryer door like the one in the pic that phil sent. The parts might still be available, you might check.
The Hamilton washers and dryers of that time were the same as Gibson and Kelvinator, WCI's other brands. I think the windows were only on the Hamiltons, though.
